Made of pure cellulose treated with hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid, filter papers are used for straining with good retention and flow rates. These cellulose filters create a semi-permeable barrier perpendicular to a liquid or airflow in order to separate fine substances from liquids or air. Different grades of filter paper are available for performing various laboratory applications including routine lab work, ranging from coarse to fine filtration of particulates. VWR offers a wide range of qualitative and quantitative filter papers with varying pore size, particle retention, flow rate and filtration times.
Description:
Qualitative Filter Paper. 8 um. Widely used for general purpose filtration. Slightly more retentive than No. 1. Has excellent particle retention and a good filtration speed and loading capacity.
Description:
Thin filter paper, medium-fast with medium to fine particle retention. Used for many routine analytical applications in different industries
Description:
Thickness 0.17 mm. Flow rate 85 mm/30 min. For maximum resolution, this grade is supreme, giving the greatest possible separation of closely related compounds.
Description:
18.5cm diameter. For coarse particles and gelatinous precipitates. Thick and strong. High loading capacity. High wet strength. Creped surface. Not for nitrogen determinations. Coarse porosity. Faster flow rate than other qualitative grades. 30um particle retention.
Description:
15.0cm diameter. Thin, smooth, hardened, paper has high wet strength. Retains fine crystalline precipitates. For qualitative or quantitative filtrations requiring vacuum assistance. Withstands scraping. Fine porosity. Slow flow. 2.7um particle retention.
Description:
7.0cm diameter. White cotton linter paper with 5mm green rules. Hardened. For tomato testing and measurement of contaminants in food according to standards developed by FDA Microbiology Division. Coarse porosity. Fast flow rate. 20-30um particle retention.
Description:
9.0cm diameter. Hardened. For fast filtration of gelatinous precipitates and coarse particles from alkaline/acid solutions during gravimetric analysis. High wet-strength, high purity. Coarse porosity. Fast flow rate. 20-25um particle retention.
Description:
Reeve Angel Brand Filter Papers Grade 202, 12.5 cm. Provides minimum filtration speed of coarse particles. The surfaced is creped, hence it has a greater true surface area than smooth surface Filter Paper of the same diameter.
Description:
15.0cm diameter. Slightly grained surface. Moderately thick. Highly absorbent. Highly suitable for use in Buchner funnels. Medium porosity. Medium flow rate. 6um particle retention.
Description:
Standard Grades Grade 4 sheets, 46 x 57 cm, 100/pk Extremely fast filtering with excellent retention of coarse particles and gelatinous precipitates such as ferric hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide.
Description:
12.5cm diameter. Thin, smooth, hardened, paper has high wet strength. Retains fine crystalline precipitates. For qualitative or quantitative filtrations requiring vacuum assistance. Withstands scraping. Fine porosity. Slow flow. 2.7um particle retention.
Description:
9cm diameter. Very smooth surface suitable for food and beverage industries. Medium porosity. Medium-fast flow rate. 4-7um particle retention.
Description:
Folded (Prepleated Grades) Grade 2V folded filters, 270 mm, 100/pk Widely used for general purpose filtration. Has excellent particle retention and a good filtration speed and loading capacity.
Description:
12.5cm diameter. Hardened, cotton linter filter with high wet-strength and resistant to acidic and alkaline solutions. Suitable for food and beverage industries. Medium fine porosity. Medium fast flow rate. 4-7um particle retention.
Description:
Folded Prepleated Grade 0858 1/2 folded filters, 150 mm, 100/pk. A universal filter paper, grained, with medium fast flow rate and medium retention.
