Pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) fibers are sintered to create a unique depth-type filter.
These PTFE filters are biologically inert and resistant to chemical attack. Relatively durable and can be folded. Autoclaveable. Operating temperature range: –120 to 260°C.
Applications–Use as a prefilter to a membrane or as a final filter. Filter hot acids and strong solvents. Use for filtering samples when contamination from media must be held at critically low levels. Venting type applications. Collection of airborne dust particulates. Filter solvents for inks and PGMEA in LCD industry.
This PTFE filter offers superior handling and minimal fiber slough-off compared to glass and quartz filters. Naturally hydrophobic, the media will separate aqueous from non-aqueous phases of mixtures. Offers high air permeability and minimal pressure drop which makes it an excellent choice for venting and gas applications. No absorbtion of acid gases.
