Changing appearances in color or pattern, the sterilization indicators visually show if cleaning conditions are passing or procedures have been completed. Eliminating any confusion or possibility instruments will not be sterile, indicators are used routinely in clinical and research environments where contamination elimination is crucial. With the temperature resistance required to endure the purification, the sterilization indicators are available in different forms such as tapes, ampoules, and sticks. Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores demonstrate a high resistance towards steam and vaporized hydrogen peroxide and are therefore used in BIs that monitor these sterilization processes.
Description:
Plain. Self-adhesive, nontoxic. Purple to green color change upon exposure to ethylene oxide. The exposure required for a color change is 600mg/L of ethylene oxide for a minimum of 30 minutes at 50-70% RH and 30[degree]C. Conform to AAMI ST60 and ISO 11140-1.
Description:
Imprinted. Self-adhesive, nontoxic, chemical process indicator changes from yellow to blue and reveals imprint when exposed to 3 to 6mg/L vapor hydrogen peroxide in a complete STERRAD* 100 or 100 S Sterilization System cycle.
Description:
For radiation sterilization. Bacillus pumilus spore population per strip: 1e6. Size: 6x30mm. 18-month shelf-life. Individually packaged in glassine envelopes. Instructions for use, certified population, D-value, Z-value, survival/kill data, and expiration date included.
Description:
For steam sterilization. Biological indicator provides validation that bacterial spores have been completely destroyed. Provided in 10mL pharmaceutical vials. Population of 1e6 Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores per 0.1mL. Meets USP and ISO 11138-1 standards.
Description:
Self Contained Biological Indicator (SCBI) for monitoring steam sterilization process efficacy. SCBI consists of inoculated disc, media ampoule which transitions color within 24 hours of exposure if cycle was not effective. 105 population level of G.sterothermophilus spores.
