This webinar gives an overview on best weighing practices and describes factors influencing the weighing result. Balance intrinsic factors such as repeatability, linearity, eccentric load, calibration & adjustment, environmental influences such as climate, leveling, vibrations and influences coming from the operator and samples as magnetism, electric charges and air buoyancy effects are discussed in detail.

Possible effects on the weighing result and preventive measures are presented and there will also be a focus on important news for the pharmaceutical industry including the new Chapter 2.1.7 of the European Pharmacopeia.

Eszter Paldy studied biology and earned her PhD in Pharmacology. During her work at the Pharmacology Institute of the Medical University in Heidelberg in Germany she has further educated herself in business, project – and product management. She has joined Sartorius in 2017. She is a product manager for premium balances and mass comparators and is actively involved in product development projects.

Holger Densow studied biology at the University of Bielefeld, Germany and finished his Doctorate in 2005. Then he was working as sales representative for 2,5 years for a German Biotech company and in 2008 switched to another company to manage lab instruments as product manager. Since 2016 he is working as Product Manager at Sartorius and he is taking care of Software Solutions for Lab Balances.
