ClassMate™ laboratory hoods are designed to meet the needs of instructional laboratories.
- High-performance, bypass airflow design
Clear tempered safety glass provides excellent visibility even when hoods are placed back to back
The hood frame, spill trough, and standard hood air foil are constructed of glacier white powder-coated steel and aluminum. The low-profile spill trough is 3.2 cm (11/4”) deep and requires no cabinet overhang. All hoods include pre-wired LED lighting, ADA-compliant light and blower switches, removable interior cover plates for easy plumbing access, and a 12” (30.5 cm) dia. exhaust connection. A tissue screen below the exhaust outlet protects the remote blower from debris.
High-performance, 3-piece baffle pivots for cleaning. The glass front is 371/2” (95.25 cm) high, 0.6 cm (1/4”) thick, and at a 5° angle. The vertical-rising sash of the combination style hoods also include horizontal-sliding panels.
All hoods feature a high-performance, bypass airflow design. Baffles direct airflow to the rear of the interior. A pivoting air foil features a trough for secondary spill containment. Models with a combination style sash, which adds energy-saving and ergonomic benefits, are available.
Certifications: ETL listed. All hoods conform to the following regulations and standards: SEFA 1, CFR 29 Part 1910, NFPA 45, ASTM E84, ASHRAE 110, ANSI Standard Z9.5, UL 61010-1, UL 1805, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 61010.1, SEFA 8 Cabinet Surface Finish Tests.
Ordering information: Hoods require a remote blower, ductwork, work surface (see SpillStopper models 9600400 and 9600402 series), and base cabinet(s). Hoods are factory-prepared for up to 8 service fixtures, two duplex electrical receptacles, and airflow monitor. All hoods are supplied with two LED bulbs. Hoods supplied with fixtures include one pre-wired 115V, 20A GFCI electrical duplex receptacle. On standard hoods with fixtures, two fixtures are pre-plumbed, with forged brass valves. One of the fixtures is plumbed with 0.6 cm (1/4”) copper tubing for cold water; the other fixture is plumbed with 0.6 cm (1/4”) brass tubing for use with gas. Components for converting either or both fixtures to air and vacuum are provided.
