Made of pure cellulose treated with hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid, filter papers are used for straining with good retention and flow rates. These cellulose filters create a semi-permeable barrier perpendicular to a liquid or airflow in order to separate fine substances from liquids or air. Different grades of filter paper are available for performing various laboratory applications including routine lab work, ranging from coarse to fine filtration of particulates. VWR offers a wide range of qualitative and quantitative filter papers with varying pore size, particle retention, flow rate and filtration times.
Description:
Standard Grades Grade 1 sheets, 58 cm x 68 cm, 100/pk, the most widely used filter paper for routine applications with medium retention and flow rate.
Description:
Quantitative Filter Paper. 3 u m. Thin version of No. 42 retaining very fine particles but with lower ash weight per sample and almost twice as fast as No. 42.
Description:
24.0cm diameter. Silicone impregnated paper functions as a rapid phase separator in place of conventional separatory funnels. Paper retains aqueous phase and passes through hydrophobic phase. Medium porosity. Medium flow rate. 11um particle retention.
Description:
Wet Strengthened Grade 114 sheets, 58 x 58 cm, 100/pk Only half the thickness of Grade 113 and suitable for coarse or gelatinous precipitates. Smooth surface for easy recovery of precipitates.
Description:Filter paper, Hardened, low-ash, suitable for routine gravimetric analysis. Grade 392 has a medium filtering speed for standard tasks. Ash < 0.01% 240mm, pack 100
Description:
Creped or smooth filter Paper, good retentivity at a relatively high filtration speed. Used for the clarifying filtration of dried beat pulp extracts.
Description:
Wet Strengthened Grade 91 circles, 125 mm, PK4000 (Subdivided into 100) A general purpose creped filter for less critical routine analysis. Widely used to assay sucrose in cane sugar.
